Look(s) of the Week: Plaid and Leopard

This weekend, I caught up with Tina of Vancouver fashion blog Initialed for some much needed catching up, a quick photo shoot, and some delectable treats from Faubourg on Hornby St. We did some window shopping at Cartier; they put up a beautiful Christmas display every year, complete with lights, garland, and of course, their signature little red boxes. If you're downtown Vancouver, it's definitely worth a walk-by if you're near Pender on Howe St.

I loved everything about Tina's outfit, especially the leopard pants and incredibly cozy fur snood! It was actually pretty warm out this past weekend, which is great because it means you can dress how you want, rather than for the weather. Tina balances the intense feline print perfectly with black basics and a deep plum lip colour that is a winter 2013 essential.

You know already that plaid is one of my favourite trends this winter, so you can guess how excited I was to finally have my plaid Topshop skirt arrive in the mail! This colour of plaid goes great with bright red, black, charcoal, camel, and navy. It's made of a nice thick material too, so it'll keep you warm while still looking polished. I thrifted some Nine West buckle heels this past week, that made the perfect finishing touch to the look: and were amazingly cheap (TBA on Thrifty Thursday)!

Happy Styling! xo
